Physics is a complex structure of concepts, hypothesis, theories and observations that are interrelated in such a way that it is often difficult to separate inferences based on theories from direct observations based primarily on laboratories experiments. Student should understand that experimental evidence is the basis of our knowledge of the laws of physics and that physics is not merely a collection of equations and text book problems. In this context the Loyola College is known for itsinnovative teaching with practical subject combinations. TheDepartment is delivering the quality education. The teachers are constantly interacting with students apart from classroom teaching, organizing weekly seminars and providing a lot of information about research and learning opportunities in and outside the country. We are constantly in touch with the new developments in the scientific world. Apart from a well-equipped lab, students are given practical exposure to field works and projects related to Physics.
